Code execution via out-of-bounds PAR structure read
Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Solid Edge SE2022 before 222.0MP12 and SE2023 before 223.0Update2 allows local users to execute code. The PAR parser reads past the end of an allocated structure when processing a specially crafted part file. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and runs attacker-supplied code with the privileges of the current Solid Edge process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
