Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Solid Edge SE2022 and SE2023 allows attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a crafted PAR file. The PAR-file parser mishandles crafted file data and writes beyond a heap buffer, corrupting memory in the current process. Exploitation requires user interaction but no prior privileges, and successful code runs with the current process's access.
