Stored XSS via unsanitized admin settings
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Advanced Woo Search 2.77 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to inject web scripts. The show_more_text and not_found_text admin settings accept content that the plugin later renders without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. The flaw is reachable only on WordPress multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled, and injected scripts execute when a user opens an affected page.
