Privilege escalation in affected Arista EOS releases allows remote authenticated users to gain root access on a standby supervisor. The standby supervisor accepts an SSH login initiated by an unprivileged account but creates the session with root privileges. Exploitation requires valid credentials, two active supervisor modules, and RPR or SSO redundancy.
