CVE-2023-24498Network attack vector

Unauthenticated password disclosure via configuration download

Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Credential exposure in the NETGEAR ProSAFE FS726TP web server allows remote attackers to retrieve the switch password without authentication. An unspecified management endpoint fails to authenticate the requester before returning a configuration page that contains the password in clear text. Network access to the web-management interface is sufficient; published information identifies neither the endpoint nor an affected firmware boundary.
