CVE-2023-24482Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unchecked cache input

Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Structured exception handler buffer overflow in Siemens COMOS 10.2 through 10.4.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The cache validation service copies attacker-controlled input without checking its size, allowing the overwrite to corrupt SEH control data. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation can take control of the process or crash the service.
