Authenticated server-side request forgery via test connection
Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 1, 2025
Server-side request forgery in Jenkins BearyChat Plugin 3.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to connect to arbitrary URLs. DescriptorImpl.doTestConnection passes the supplied webhook to StandardBearyChatService and calls publish without checking authorization. Overall/Read permission is sufficient, and exploitation causes the Jenkins controller to send a test message to the selected endpoint.
