Credential theft via unauthorized endpoint connection
Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025
Missing authorization in Jenkins Project Orka by MacStadium Plugin 1.31 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture credentials. Several Stapler doFill endpoints accept attacker-controlled Orka endpoint and credential ID parameters, then use the selected Jenkins credential for an outbound HTTP connection without checking Overall/Administer permission. Overall/Read permission and a credential ID obtained through another method are required; successful use discloses the stored credential to the specified server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
