CVE-2023-24430Network attack vector

Agent secret disclosure and SSRF via XXE

Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

XXE in Jenkins Semantic Versioning Plugin 1.14 and earlier allows attackers to read agent secrets or make server-side requests. The Determine Semantic Version build step passes a version file to an XML parser that resolves attacker-supplied external entities. Exploitation requires control of the XML version file while lacking the broader ability to alter build steps or executable build inputs.
