Administrator access via preserved pre-login session
Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025
Session fixation in Jenkins Microsoft Entra ID Plugin 303.va_91ef20ee49f and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The login callback preserves the pre-authentication HTTP session instead of invalidating it when the user identity is established. An attacker must socially engineer an administrator into authenticating with a fixed session, which can then be reused with the administrator privileges.
