Administrator action forgery via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Webbjocke Simple WP Sitemap 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger an unwanted action. An unnamed plugin function accepts a forged request without valid WordPress nonce verification; public sources do not identify the affected action. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active WordPress session to follow a malicious link or visit a crafted page, and the documented impact is limited to an unauthorized state change.
