Account takeover via unverified Facebook-login email
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in DeluxeThemes UserPro 5.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access arbitrary WordPress accounts via Facebook login. The userpro_fbconnect AJAX handler accepts a request-supplied email without verifying it with Facebook, resolves the associated WordPress user, and calls userpro_auto_login. The endpoint permits unauthenticated requests; knowledge of a target account's email grants that account's privileges, including administrator access.
