Browser script execution via unescaped article URL
Published Feb 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Reflected XSS in UJCMS 4.1.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary scripts in a user's browser through a crafted article URL. The Add New Articles function places the URL parameter into page output without neutralizing script or HTML markup. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL; successful scripts run in the UJCMS origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
