Code execution or crash via unbounded curTime
Published Feb 10, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-605L 2.13B01 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the router. The boa HTTP server's formSetWanDhcpplus handler passes the unbounded POST curTime value to sprintf, which copies it into a stack buffer. Access to the web interface and valid login credentials are required; successful exploitation can take control of the router or interrupt its service.
