Buffer overflow in the Undead puzzle before 20230116.5782e29 allows attackers to crash Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection. The execute_move routine accepts an M command from loaded save-file history and writes beyond its monster-position buffer without sufficient bounds validation. Local users must open a crafted save file; the documented consequence is a process crash, not code execution.
