Script execution via unescaped API contact URL
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Reflected XSS in Open Networking Foundation ONOS 1.9.0 through 2.7.0 allows remote attackers to run scripts via an API documentation URL. The API documentation dashboard places its Info contact URL value into rendered page output without neutralizing a crafted URL payload. Exploitation requires a user to view the affected dashboard, where the injected script runs in the page context and can read or alter data available to that session.
