Administrator authentication bypass via interpolated username
Published Jan 31, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
SQL injection in Forget Heart Message Box 1.1 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication via a crafted name parameter. The admin/loginpost.php handler trims the POST value and interpolates it directly into the administrator SELECT query without escaping or parameterization. The pre-authentication endpoint creates an administrator session whenever the injected query returns a row, granting access to backend functions and stored messages.
