Unauthenticated command execution via province parameter
Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Command injection in TOTOlink A7100RU firmware 7.4cu.2313_B20191024 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands via a crafted request. The delStaticDhcpRules handler passes the untrusted province value through Uci_Set_Str and snprintf into cstesystem and execv without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires no prior privileges or user interaction; injected commands run with the router service's privileges, and the published proof of concept reports a root shell.
