Stored XSS via unsanitized Client Name rendering
Published Feb 10, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Stored XSS in Inventory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted Client Name. The add-order form posts clientName to createOrder.php, and the Manage Orders view renders the stored value without neutralizing HTML. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and viewing Manage Orders triggers it in another user's browser, exposing that session's data and actions.
