Stored script execution via unsanitized product name
Published Feb 10, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Stored XSS in Inventory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in a viewer's browser via Product Name. The Product Name form sends attacker-controlled text to createProduct.php, which inserts it into product.product_name without sanitization before the interface renders it as HTML. Administrative access is required to create the product, and execution occurs when another user loads the affected product listing, exposing that viewer's browser session to the injected script.
