CVE-2023-24159Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via unsanitized password parameter

Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Command injection in the setPasswordCfg handler in TOTOLINK CA300-PoE 6.2c.884 allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands. The handler passes the admpass form value into a shell command without neutralizing metacharacters, and the published request creates files and directories. The proof of concept includes a SESSION_ID cookie, although CISA rates privileges as none; command execution can alter data and interrupt the appliance.
