Subscriber-triggered booking outage via unchecked logout
Published Jun 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in vcita's WordPress plugin through 4.2.10 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt appointment booking. The vcita_logout_callback handler accepts the vcita_logout AJAX action without checking the caller's capability and disconnects the configured vcita account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the disconnection prevents site visitors from scheduling appointments until the account connection is restored.
