Unauthenticated command execution via plugin_version injection
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CA300-PoE 6.2c.884 allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands via a crafted CGI request. The setUnloadUserData handler accepts a plugin_version value containing shell metacharacters; a pipe-prefixed mkdir payload reaches command execution and creates a directory. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates filesystem modification on the access point.
