Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized hour parameter
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CA300-PoE 6.2c.884 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands through a crafted HTTP request. The setRebootScheCfg handler inserts the unvalidated hour value into an echo command that it passes to CsteSystem while rewriting root's reboot cron entry. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation permits command execution in the appliance firmware context.
