Command execution via diagnostic count injection
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CA300-PoE 6.2c.884 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted NetDiagPingNum value. The setNetworkDiag handler accepts shell-control tokens in NetDiagPingNum during network-diagnostic processing, as demonstrated by the value 4||ls;. The published proof of concept includes a session cookie, so public evidence does not demonstrate whether an unauthenticated request reaches the handler.
