Subscriber-level arbitrary file upload via unchecked settings callback
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Online Booking & Scheduling Calendar 4.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter settings and upload files. The vcita_save_settings_callback AJAX handler accepts settings and file-upload requests without checking the caller’s WordPress capability. Subscriber-level access reaches the handler; altered settings can inject JavaScript, and versions before 4.3.2 also permit arbitrary file uploads.
