Domain-filter bypass via absent Host and SNI
Published Feb 23, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Incorrect access control in Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro 7.2.95 allows remote attackers to bypass configured domain filters. The Web DPI engine relies on the HTTP Host header or TLS SNI to identify a requested domain, so traffic sent by IP with the relevant field omitted evades matching. Exploitation requires domain-based Web DPI blocking on routed traffic and permits access to destinations the administrator intended to block.
