Admin access via client-side lockout enforcement
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authentication rate-limit bypass in Connectize AC21000 G6 firmware 641.139.1.1256 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain admin access. The web interface applies its three-failure, 180-second lockout only in client-side logic, so a page refresh or direct HTTP requests remove the restriction. Network reachability to the admin panel is required; unlimited password guesses grant complete panel control when the configured password is recovered.
