Administrative access via unchanged default passwords
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated May 29, 2025
Default credentials in Connectize AC21000 G6 firmware 641.139.1.1256 and earlier allow attackers to gain admin access over Wi-Fi. The factory Wi-Fi password is admin, setup permits the wizard to be skipped without changing it, and the same credential opens the configuration panel. Reachability requires access to either Wi-Fi band and unchanged defaults; successful use grants complete router administration.
