Unauthorized collation changes via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Database Collation Fix 1.2.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger database collation changes. The admin_page function starts the collation-fix operation from a request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow a crafted link or submit a forged form, after which the database collation changes without the administrator's intent.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
