CVE-2023-23903Network attack vector

Service outage via malformed SAML configuration

Published Aug 9, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Improper SAML file validation in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC before 22.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The web management interface accepts an incorrectly formatted SAML configuration without validating its syntax, causing every subsequent application request to return an error. Administrative privileges are required, and recovery requires console intervention because the entire application becomes unusable.
