Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Surbma | GDPR Proof Cookie Consent & Notice Bar 17.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The plugin's shortcode processes contributor-controlled content without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, storing content that renders as executable script. Contributor-level access is required, and execution occurs when another user opens the injected page, enabling script actions in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
