Stored script execution via unsanitized chart output
Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Methnen LLC M Chart 1.9.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted chart content. The chart-rendering path emits stored contributor-controlled chart data without sufficient output sanitization, so a script runs when a visitor opens the affected chart. Contributor-level access and a victim viewing the injected page are required; script execution occurs in that viewer's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
