Sensitive-data access via reflected demo-app input
Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP and ABAP Platform allows remote attackers to read or modify sensitive data. The PING_PONG ABAP Push Channel demo app reflects user-controlled link input into a browser response without correct sanitization or output encoding. No authentication is required to craft the link, but a user must click it; the script then runs in that user's SAP browser context.
