Sensitive-data exposure via crafted URL redirect
Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP and ABAP Platform allows remote attackers to redirect users through a crafted URL. SAP attributes the response redirect to insufficient URL input validation but has not publicly identified the affected function or request parameter. Versions 740, 750, 751, 752, 753, 754, 755, 756, 757, 789, and 790 are affected; exposure requires a recipient to click the link, access SAP, follow the external redirect, and enter sensitive data.
