CVE-2023-23853Network attack vector

Phishing redirection via unvalidated link destination

Published Feb 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Open redirect in NetWeaver ABAP 700, 702, 731, 740, 750, 751, 752, 753, 754, 755, 756, 757, 789, and 790 allows remote attackers to redirect users. The BC-MID-ICF component accepts an attacker-controlled destination in a crafted URL and redirects the browser to that untrusted site without sufficient validation. Exploitation requires a user to click the link; the destination can solicit or read sensitive data or induce changes, with no direct service interruption.
