Credential ID disclosure via unchecked HTTP endpoints
Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Missing authorization in Synopsys Coverity for Jenkins 3.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to enumerate credential IDs. Several Stapler HTTP endpoints, including doFillCredentialsIdItems and doFillDefaultCredentialsIdItems, returned credential lists without checking access permissions. Overall/Read permission is sufficient; disclosed IDs can support a separate attack that captures stored Jenkins credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
