Authenticated code execution via incorrect string comparison
Published Jul 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
Incorrect comparison in SolarWinds Platform before 2023.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the Web Console. The UpdateActionsProperties method performs an incorrect string comparison that permits attacker-controlled command execution. Administrative Web Console access is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the NETWORK SERVICE context.
