Published Apr 23, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Simple PDF Viewer 1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser-executed scripts. The googlepdf shortcode insufficiently sanitizes supplied input and fails to escape it when rendering page output, causing injected scripts to persist. Exploitation requires Contributor-level WordPress access, and the script executes when another user accesses the injected page.
