Authenticated file disclosure via relative path traversal
Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Relative path traversal in Fortinet FortiWeb allows remote authenticated users to read unauthorized files via crafted web requests. Fortinet identifies relative path traversal but has not published the affected request handler or how it fails to constrain attacker-supplied paths. Exploitation requires authenticated access with high privileges and affects confidentiality only across 6.2.3 through 6.2.7, 6.3.0 through 6.3.21, 6.4.0 through 6.4.2, and 7.0.0 through 7.0.1.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=6.2.3 <=6.2.7
