Client password disclosure via log-fetch heartbeat response
Published Mar 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Information exposure in affected Fortinet FortiAnalyzer releases allows remote authenticated users to read a client machine password in plaintext. During a FortiAnalyzer log-fetch request, the heartbeat response returns the client machine password in plaintext instead of protecting it. Authenticated network access and a configured log-fetch relationship are required in 6.4.0 through 6.4.10, 7.0.0 through 7.0.4, and 7.2.0 through 7.2.1.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
