Action-log disclosure via missing ACL check
Published Feb 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 29, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Joomla! CMS 4.0.0 through 4.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to read user action logs. The com_actionlogs administrator component omits an ACL check before returning its log view to users who lack super-administrator authorization. Any lower-privileged back-end account that can reach the component can view recorded administrative activity, while the published impact is limited to disclosure.
