Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped plugin settings
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Joel James Disqus Conditional Load 11.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via plugin settings. The plugin processes options including dcl_div_width and dcl_type without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, then renders them into pages. Administrator access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; the payload runs when another user opens an injected page.
