CVE-2023-23693

Privileged command execution through DCManager injection

Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 17, 2025

OS command injection in Dell VxRail before 7.0.450 allows local users with high privileges to execute arbitrary commands through DCManager. Dell identifies the DCManager command-line utility as the injection locus but does not disclose the affected command, parameter, or faulty input handling. Exploitation requires high local privileges and runs commands with the utility's privileges, enabling takeover of the underlying system.
