Administrator session theft via unencoded fullname
Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Resort Reservation System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via fullname. The registration path accepts fullname containing script markup, and users.php outputs the value without HTML encoding. No authentication is required to register, but execution requires an administrator to view the users page; the demonstrated consequence is access to the administrator's session cookie.
