CVE-2023-23632Public exploit

Local jump-session takeover via truncated secret validation

Published Oct 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Authentication bypass in BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access 22.2.x through 22.4.x allows local users to access jump-item shells. The Access Console's loopback SSH listener accepts a truncated username secret because verification checks character positions but not the supplied length. The external-tools setting must be enabled and a shell jump session active; a same-host user or low-privileged process can guess one character and inherit the jump item's access.
