CVE-2023-23619Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via unescaped schema property names

Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025

Code injection in AsyncAPI Initiative Modelina before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter generated source through schema names. The TypeScript generator's default property preset inserts a schema property name directly into a class declaration without escaping syntax-breaking characters. Exploitation requires a consumer to process attacker-controlled model input and then compile or run the generated source, enabling injected code to execute in that consumer's environment.
