Information disclosure in OpenSearch 1.0.0 through 1.3.7 and 2.0.0 through 2.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted fields. Field-level security and field masking fail to apply explicit field-exclusion rules to some queries that use auto-generated .keyword fields. Exploitation requires authenticated read access to an index containing restricted fields and exposes only data those permissions should hide.
