Device restart via unauthenticated reboot endpoint

Denial of service in Mercedes-Benz XENTRY Retail Data Storage 7.8.1 allows remote attackers to restart the device through its API. The /config/api/v1/reboot endpoint accepts an unauthenticated request and invokes the device-restart operation without an authorization check. Network access to the appliance is required, and successful requests interrupt availability by rebooting the storage device.
