Local privilege escalation via stack buffer overflow

Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025

A stack-based buffer overflow in Intel Trace Analyzer and Collector before 2021.8.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. Intel has not published the affected file or function, the input that reaches it, or the operation that overruns the stack buffer.
